Took a drum loop and pitched out 3 different layers of itself, one at half speed an octave down, one at quarter speed 2 octaves down, and one on top that starts out chopped up into separated transients and returns to full speed at the end. I originally made this to be 3 different levels of progression for a backing drum-loop, with the first section being the buildup, the second as the transition/windup, and the third as the breakdown.

I recorded this in my living room with mics in an x-pattern on the couch very close together, using a tascam dr-70d and behringer dyynamic microphones with patch cables for optimal volume. I recorded this at maximum gain on the tascam as two stereo files, then conjoined them to a 6-channel audio file properly and mixed the front two channels to a monaural center channel for added effect. The final result is what can be downloaded here. Tghe music in the background is part of the star trek: generations expanded complete score, and is coming from my computer to the rear of the recording, which lasts just over a minute in length, and the music was just background noise for testing purposes only. Quadruple finger snaps, recorded with a tlm 102. These are performed by alternately snapping with the ring and middle fingers of each hand. The snap samples are arranged from lowest spacing (all snaps happening at the same time) to highest (larger delay between individual finger snaps).

Crowded diner/restaurant in tokyo. This is a stereo mixdown of a 4 channel surround recording i took in a crowded restaurant in tokyo. You can hear a a lot of conversations, some waiters and lots of utensil sounds. Most of the conversation in the background is in japanese. I think i heard some english when i edited this, but i'm not really sure. Anyways, good stuff. Mics were places at a 20 degree and 90 degree angle and then later mixed down to stereo. Enjoy!.
